Summary
Oas1e is a pathogen recognition receptor for the viral pathogen-associated molecular pattern, double-stranded RNA. Upon recognition of dsRNA, the Oas1e activates Rnasel to cleave ssRNA. The Oas/Rnasel pathway triggers the RIG-I pathway and induce Ifnb production.
