In the developing hindbrain region of E14.5 embryos it accumulates in the rapidly dividing, undifferentiated ventricular zone adjacent to the pons. It also accumulates in the regions immediately rostral and caudal to the dorsal rhombic lips differentiating into the cerebellum.
