Gene Symbol Atp10a
Protein Name ATPase, class V, type 10A
Synonyms Atp10c; pfatp;
Species Mus musculus
Ensembl Protein ENSMUSP00000129811
InnateDB Gene IDBG-190347 (Atp10a)
Protein Structure
UniProt Annotation
Function Catalytic component of a P4-ATPase flippase complex which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled to the transport of aminophospholipids from the outer to the inner leaflet of various membranes and ensures the maintenance of asymmetric distribution of phospholipids. Phospholipid translocation seems also to be implicated in vesicle formation and in uptake of lipid signaling molecules (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.
Subcellular Localization Cell membrane {ECO:0000250}; Multi-pass membrane protein {ECO:0000250}. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane {ECO:0000250}. Note=Exit from the endoplasmic reticulum requires the presence of TMEM30A. {ECO:0000250}.
Disease Associations
Tissue Specificity Found in testis and in white adipose tissue. Also detected in fetal tissues. {ECO:0000269PubMed:11074018}.
