Subcellular Localization Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Cytoplasm. Note=Sequestered in cytoplasmic vesicles in resting platelets. Transported to the cell surface after stimulation by thrombin. Soluble fragments can be released into the serum by proteolysis.
